If you live in or are planning to visit London anytime soon, this is going to make your week!
When I was there, everything seemed posh and larger than life. Gucci, in its regular style, is going to take things one step further.
The Italian luxury brand, which saw a resurgence in 2015, will turn a world shopping destination into its own Gucci Garden. Starting July 31 and continuing throughout August, Harrods (Yes! That Harrods!) will foster a customized experience for the brand.
Get ready for more than a few Instagram-worthy shots.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the over 1 Million square foot department store will be covered with flowers, butterflies, snake designs and, of course, the Gucci emblems as the brand takes over display areas and social channels.
Customers will also get in on a few exclusives.
Atop being surrounded by all things Gucci, anyone who walks into this 330 department-wide metropolis can shop an exclusive collection designed by Gucci’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele. Limited edition accessories, shoes (including sneakers!) and ready to wear fill the line. (Don’t worry, the RTW pieces are for both men and women.)
Shoppers can also add a personal touch to each design. There will be multiple DIY stations on-site filled with patches to give it a unique, Gucci-approved look.
That means, your closet can easily get a complete makeover just from this event!
As if that wasn’t enough, the month-long event will also allow shoppers to experience the launch of Michele’s first perfume for the label, Gucci Bloom.
I’m pretty sure I could spend a whole day just wandering through this activation and the rest of Harrods. Expect to easily do the same if you go.
