Whether it’s your parents (like me) or a close friend, there’s always going to be someone in your life who you have no idea what to buy for Christmas/the holidays. It’s thought-provoking and annoying as can be at the same time. Every time they want something, they buy it. By the time you write down what they mentioned they may want, they’ve already ordered it on Amazon…Awkward.
So, here are a few ideas to take the pressure off.
Do they have a collection they love? Give them something to display it one. Whether it’s wine bottles, beanie babies or purses, this person more than likely had a lot of something. Celebrate their personalities by displaying it with a chic wine rack or modern organizer. You may not be able to get them a walk-in closet, but you can help show off what they do have.
Are they into technology?
Are they giant movie buffs?
Bring them into the cinema mindset with a 3-D console that transforms their TV, a cute movie-themed gift basket with all the snacks they probably wouldn’t buy for themselves, and/or a facsimile script of their favorite movie. (Those go for about $20 or less and are fun to display).
If you live near a city and are still confused about what to get, try an experience.
Groupon as well as Viator are filled with things like exotic car driving sessions, trips to the Discovery Museum to see their favorite artifacts up close, or even a getaway at a local resort. Due to their discounted nature, it’s easy to find all of these things for less.
Happy shopping, everyone!
