I walked into my bedroom this morning to get ready for the day and realized one very important concept: I have way too many pieces of clothing and pairs of shoes. On top of that, it is almost impossible to keep track of them all. I’m guessing most of you have the same issue, time and again.
Reorganizing has been great to reacquaint myself with everything in my closet. However, I can’t do it every week – there’s just not enough time! So, how do we combat this? With the help of a few apps made to make your morning routine even easier.
Here are my the standout three apps I’ve been reading about and how they can better your closet.
This app was specifically designed for organizing makeup so you’ll actually know what’s filling the multilevel fabric bags on your vanity. According to Fashionista.com, it launched just last month and is fairly addictive. Use the search tool to find every piece in your bag and wish list. After “scrolling through your loot,” create a collection, make folders, add some notes, create a shopping list for the holidays or just take a look at what’s trending in real time. If that wasn’t enough, this new app is looking to expand its repertoire to let you save YouTube videos.
Not sure if they’ll have every item that’s on your nightstand? Don’t worry. There are 150,000 skin, hair, nail and makeup products to choose from. Get it for free on your iPhone, here.
You’ve seen me write about this one before. It helps you organize everything with the click of a photo as well as pre-plan outfits, make packing lists and even learn about the “cost-per-wear” of your favorite pieces. It’s more than just an app, at $3.99, it can be a time-saving personal assistant. Once you get a photo of everything in your wardrobe, it’s saved in your phone and ready for use. The added math values for each piece will also make it easy to draw comparisons and ultimately take the guess work out of your next dressing room dilemma. Don’t worry guys, they have a separate app for men. Download either version for yourself here (for women) or here (for men).
This involves something you already do – taking pictures of your outfits! If you haven’t already heard from Refinery29, WEAR is a Japanese fashion app that lets every user share his or her outfit of the day. Not only can you sift through over 7,000 new styling ideas from around the world, daily, but documenting your OOTDs ensures that you’ll never forget a look. It will help you think of your closet in a new way and ultimately, remember more of what you have or are missing for that next shopping trip. It’s all about keeping your closet top-of-mind. Get the app for free on your phone, here.
I hope this helped! If you like this post or downloaded one of the apps, please let me know in the comments! I can’t wait to read what you think.
Have a great night, everyone!
