We all have a few go-to pieces that remain in our closets from year to year – regardless of trend. For Ukraine-based womenswear designer, Yulia Gural, a blazer will always stick out among the rest.
“You can wear it with pants or a skirt when you go to work, complement your dress [with it] when you go to a party [and] wear it with jeans when you go [out] with your friends,” says Gural. “In each case, you will look gorgeous.”
She started her namesake label in March 2016 and since then, blazers made of high-quality Italian fabrics have become her calling card. Keep reading for a glimpse at her current collection and to learn about the new line Gural will launch next week.
While blazers appear in every Yulia Gural collection, each design is far from boring or typical. She turns this tried and true piece of clothing into an anthem for female empowerment as well as style.
“Two things that inspire me are women and colors,” says Gural. “Interesting personalities…but especially the women around me, our customers and followers, as well as those whom I have had the opportunity to meet, [all inspire me.] I like to explore their lifestyles, behaviors and achievements. I’m very, very inspired by ambitious women.”
But, it’s not just the women who have achieved greatness that Gural wants to design for. Her collection also touches on a deeper meaning of helping women to believe in themselves and strive for their personal goals. Each line is backed by a dedicated blog on YuliaGural.com called “Girls Change the World.”
“It is not a typical blog, it’s an independent community for strong, beautiful, talented, self-motivated [women], who believe in their dreams, make a difference [and] make the world better!” explains Gural. “The [community is a] place where you can find support, views and advice from like-minded persons. You will be able to share your thoughts, goals, and projects you are working on…I believe that every girl in the world can succeed and build her own beautiful universe by her hands. “
This ideal is so important to Gural that she’s offering 15 percent off to all customers who join her newsletter. Her long term goal is to help young, goal-oriented women around the world, “make their dreams come true”
As you can see below, this refreshing message is paired with a constant experimentation of hues, accessories and fabrics.
Where else can you find an elegant, work-appropriate blazer with velvet inserts or a fun light carmine pink hue to break up fall’s darkened color scheme? (I especially love the white and silver option, below!)
Here’s a look at some of my favorite pieces from the brand:
This collection is available at YuliaGural.com as well as e-tailer, Not Just a Label, and the Tropicalia Pop Up Store in Berlin.
Love what you see? Her next collection will be out between Nov. 11 (This Friday!) and Nov. 16! But, it’s not just blazers anymore. The next line will be expanded to include tops and pants to complement the rest of your wardrobe.
Check back later this week for sales to save your wallet and an inside look at Saturday’s Simply Stylist conference. Before you go, here’s some inspiration from Yulia Gural:
“To keep moving forward you need to be organized and strongly believe in the beauty of your dream. I wish you all to be brave and never give up. I believe that every woman in the world can achieve anything she wants! Girls Change the World!”
Happy Tuesday, Everyone!
