With Labor Day sales just around the corner, you know you’re going to spend at least some time at Nordstrom – if not just on its website. When you step through those doors/portals, don’t be surprised if you see a few changes.
First up, it’s not just Madewell anymore! WWD reports that J.Crew merchandise will be joining it’s sister brand for sale inside the grand department store. You know me, I’m already dreaming about the discount opportunities!
Starting September 12, your favorite, classic pieces will begin popping up in 16 select stores across the country. Seattle, Dallas and Scottsdale will be getting the new addition as well as the King of Prussia mall in PA., the Mall at Short Hills in N.J. and much more. (Catch the full list here.) Look for it in the 500-square-foot “Point of View” section in Nordstrom the next time you go or just search for it by name at Nordstrom.com.
Of course, that isn’t the only news I have for you.
The mall anchor store also recently launched a 500-square-foot luxury boutique concept within its department store at The Grove in Los Angeles. It’s called “space” — because the store within a store idea wasn’t shocking enough.
According to the L.A. Times, this is one of many concepts unveiling throughout the country, each slightly different from the last. Two things they have in common: a purposely-picked selection of high-end pieces and an “intimate” feel. Think Comme des Garçons perfume, Creatures of Comfort accessories and designer duds from Anthony Vaccarello. The fact that you don’t all of these names – I never heard of that last one before! – just shows how exclusive this mini shop is.
I know you’re more than ready to go shopping after reading this. Check back soon for my full list of Labor Day sales to love.
