It happens so easily – your reading an awesome article, sifting through the racks at your favorite store or just online shopping and BAM! find something you love!
Now you come across one of two problems: it’s too expensive or not in your size. Cue you making a face like your favorite, upset emoji. No one wants to see that!
So, this article is all about ways to help you add that special something to your closet and saving a few bucks for your wallet.
But, that’s not all. Since Pokemon Go has made it clear that we’re all more than addicted to our phones, every option in this piece is available as an app or website:
We talked about this on Wednesday. Whether you’re looking for a specific French Connection dress or just want a certain style like striped culottes in your size (I’m still looking for that one!), use this fashion social media platform’s search bar to help you find it at your price point.
This site and its blog were literally made to help you find on-trend items from across the web! Owned by PopSugar, it lets you search across thousands of stores to find that special piece that’s missing from your closet. Still don’t like the lowest price out there? You can easily set up a sale alert right on the spot by giving them your email.
Side note! To make my seasonal trend guides and overall posts more shopper-friendly, I’m thinking about starting to feature products from here on StylisticReaction! It would serve as a form of affiliate marketing, but I get to choose what items to feature and when so you get only the best content for you! What do you think? Let me know in the comments section.
In the fitting room and want to find that cute top for less? This is where you turn to. Get the item number and brand name from the tag, then just drop it into the shopping section of Google. From there, it will show you images, exactly what stores have it in stock and which has the lowest price. (I used this while shopping for a dress for my friend’s wedding. I tried it on in a store where it was $125 then searched online, using the SKU and picked it up for $65!)
Fell in love with something at your local boutique? Finding it for less is usually tricky because they can sell one-off or local designer-made pieces. Now, with Shoptiques, things just got easier! This site is a literal search engine for the best boutiques across the globe. You can eve get 10 percent off your purchase when you sign up for their email list, today!
If you have a look but not a specific item in mind, this site can help you narrow things down. Start with the style (Do you want a top, dress or bottom?) then pick a color and your price point. Multiple options will be right at your fingertips. Warning: it’s easy to fall down the rabbit hole here because every image is shoppable!
It also has an app that can tell you which of your favorite stores is having a sale.
It’s not just for news. On top of having a collection at Target, WWW also takes care of your shopping needs. Use the search bar to type in things like “floral blazer” or scroll down the homepage for articles filled with products to love. It’s your one-stop-shop for finding exactly what you’re looking for plus style tips.
7. Chic Engine
See something in the store? This app is like the shopping version of Instagram. Take a photo or upload one you have on your camera already and the app will help you find it online.
See something on Facebook or Pinterest, instead? They have an online component to help you buy it, too! Catch a full tutorial on how it works here, or download the app with the link above.
When You’ve Found It and Still Want a Better Bargain, Try Theses:
This one is an app and a website! Simply type in the name of the store you’re looking at and it will show you all the coupon codes and in-store coupons available. This works for everywhere from Barnes & Noble to Chipotle. So, if you’re like me, it can become you’re new go-to app. (Here’s the iTunes link, too.)
Use Google Chrome? You’ll love this extension! Designed to help you out when you get to the checkout page, Honey will automatically type in the latest coupon codes for you. Then, it’ll stop when it finds the one that saves you the most money.
Want to do it yourself? Select a specific discount code from it’s drop-down window.
10. Deals Plus
This was the first site I found as a coupon – beginner. Simply enter what you want into the search bar (liked Kate Spade Keds). It will give you the different places carrying the item plus the prices so you can compare.

Have a great weekend, everyone! Come back next week for more savings and style tips.
