With Memorial Day weekend comes a jump into warm weather, long days at the beach and a welcome wardrobe change! But, when you’re not used to making an outfit from a pair of shorts or that summer dress from last year, finding the right outfit can take a little longer than usual. Here are three looks to speed things up and have you looking chic all summer long.
Romper and Lace-Up Flats
Ready for festival season? This look will take you from a picnic lunch date in the park to your favorite outdoor concert without the need to add more than sunscreen. A romper is probably in your closet from those college days. Give it a modern twist with lace-up flats, an eyelet bag and some fun jewelry. It’s quick, easy and probably already in your closet so you can save a bucks for that next weekend getaway.

Two-Piece Outfit and Slide Sandals
In terms of comfort and ease, you can’t go wrong with this look. A classic, two-piece dress is perfect for running errands around the city or grabbing a drink on your favorite rooftop bar. Pair it with delicate jewelry, slide sandals and a backpack or bucket bag to make it casual. Don’t have a two-piece dress or just don’t want to show your midriff? No problem. You can easily tuck a cami into a skirt and blouse it over the waistline to create a similar look. (That’s what I did for this post.)
Light-weight, Jacket and Printed Shorts
You’ll be ready for a day with the girls, whether its for a binge-fest of “The Bachelorette” or an outdoor film festival, when you slip on a solid top, printed shorts and lightweight jacket. The jacket will make sure you’re comfortable even on windy nights and the bold patterns will keep your look street style-worthy. (This will probably be my uniform all season long!)
