According to WWD, Ebates bought Shopular!
If you’re having a “huh” moment right now, let me explain.
Basically when you go through Ebates to buy things at your favorite stores, they give you a percentage of the sale back in the form of a check.
Shopular is kinda like Retailmenot where its more than one million users can easily find coupons, weekly ads and other details for their favorite places all in one app. But, based on your interests and current location, Shopular will actually make the best deals pop up on your phone as soon as you get near the store- no searching needed! Plus, you can see items that have been marked down! The biggest savings opportunities can literally be at your fingertips.
Here’s the best part:
In the article, Ebates said “[Shopular will] introduce cash-back shopping to its users, complementing the Shopular user experience with Ebates’ popular loyalty offering.”
Since Ebates has 2,000 retailers as a part of its network worldwide, you know this can be nothing but good for shoppers like you. It never hurts to have another tool to help you save and fill that shopping habit.
I would just advise two things: Remember impulse buys aren’t always the best. Just because it comes with a percentage of cash back doesn’t mean you NEED to buy it.
Also, no one knows what’s a better deal for your wallet than you. Feel free to check back here regularly for savings tips or do some quick online research. Even a quick google search under the shoppings tab is good for comparisons.
Happy Thursday! Check back Saturday for Easter inspiration and maybe how to get your wedding dress for under $500. (Still working on the last one.)
