We all saw Karl Lagerfield’s namesake label pop up in Macy’s back in 2011 and around the world with its own flagship stores since. Now, as noted back in September on Market Watch, the European-based brand is coming to/at a store near you. In fact, the creative mastermind behind Chanel and ready-to-wear pieces at Fendi has already taken over Lord & Taylor!
Get those store cards ready.
Just this past Saturday, sales associates (at least in the shoe department) promoted the line with Karl Lagerfeld branded t-shirts that multiple customers wanted to buy for themselves. I for one can’t blame them!
While the department store tweeted about its Karl Lagerfeld purses back in December, yesterday was the first time I noticed them appear in a nearby location. And, there were more than just purses!
Here’s all the details plus a sale to take advantage of and my take on it all:
I never thought I would say this, but I love it the Karl Lagerfeld namesake brand! Unlike the esteemed couture pieces that are well out of reach for an average 20-something, this line is made of enviable purses, bold accessories and statement shoes all at wallet-friendly prices. I would not be surprised if at least one piece finds a home in every fashion-forward woman’s closet.
I picked up a pair of quilted pointed-toe black flats (shown above) and can’t wait to show them off! Did I mention they were below $75 thanks to the department store’s “buy more save more” sale?
The promotion is going on across the store. Here’s how it works, at least for shoes. If you buy one pair, you get 20 percent off the price. Two pairs purchased means you get 25 percent off the total. Or you can get 30 percent off it all if you buy 3+ pairs. Catch all the specifics on sportswear discounts, dresses and more during this sale on Lord & Taylor’s homepage.
But, this line is not available in every department store – yet!
Just stick to Lord & Taylor for now if you want Karl Lagerfeld-approved designs for less. (Or take a look at the brand’s U.S. online shop if you’re willing to pay retail.)
