What a rock! Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend but when you’re a stylish woman, you know there’s more than one stone that can keep you happy. For me, that spot is currently taken up be the raw stone trend. Remember those pieces of Quartz and other polished stones you used to collect as a kid? Well, over the past few months I’ve noticed them come back in a big way! Think uncut rings with colored rocks jutting in every collection, natural pendants that add a cool 70s vibe to every outfit and statement pieces that perfectly capture the light.
It’s all available now. The only issue is finding one for a good price. I’m still lusting over a Drusy ring I found for over $1,300. Yup, that much for something that’s probably made of what’s sitting in your attic right now. No need to fret, though. I’ve kept my eye out and found a bunch of cute pieces for under $75.
Like I always say: Trends are great, but not when they cost a fortune.
Now that you found the perfect accessory, you may be wondering how to pull it off. Here’s where I have you covered.
Loved that JustFab pendant? The chains on natural-accented necklaces tend to be longer, so use it as a layering piece. You can pair it with a solid-colored turtleneck on a cold, snowy day or dress it up with a v-neck top and a few shorter necklaces in the same hue as the chain.
Looking for a way to show off that killer ring instead? (I just bought that one!) Pair it with a matching geometric bracelet or other rings with a minimalistic style to give it a modern look. Your outfit can be as simple or multidimensional as you like.
Of course, I couldn’t leave you with just that. If you’re still looking for the perfect piece, check out Kendra Scott, Etsy, Charming Charlie or even your closest T.J.Maxx. (That’s where I found my necklace shown above!)
