As you may have heard, Lauren Conrad and Kohl’s put together their own runway show last week. Given that this is one of the few more affordable lines, I went to check it out yesterday. Unfortunately, her over 30-look collection was not all available at my local store – only about five skirts, this lace top and a high-neck blouse were on display. I was able to try on one skirt I wanted, but it made me look like a mushroom. From what I can tell, the collection seems to be cut for juniors more than misses, so if you’re a little curvy like me, you may want to skip this. Otherwise, some of the other pieces she has online look fairly chic. Here are my favorites:
(In case you missed it, here’s the video from the LC Lauren Conrad Runway show, too.)
There’s just one other issue with these looks and the collection overall: It’s slightly overpriced. I’m not one to pay $67 for a romper I can only wear during one season. Also, the fact that some of the $90 jackets and over $100 bags look like they came from Forever 21 rubs me the wrong way. Thankfully, any leftover Kohl’s cash or the 15 percent to 30 percent cardmember discount can help with that.

That’s it for now! Check back later for more reviews including: Kate Spade and possibly Givenchy.
