You’ve heard of Birchbox, Julep and Ipsy. But now, the arguably biggest name in makeup is about the enter the subscription business! Starting with Boston, Columbus, Ohio and Cinncinnati in September, the beauty giant will start its own boxed program called Play! By Sephora. According to WWD, it will cost just $10 a month and include a whole host of samples under a specific theme. The first one will be “uncover the essentials” and have five products ranging from Marc Jacobs highlighter eyeliner to Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. A Spotify playlist, booklet with application tips and Play! Pass to have a tutorial of the looks in store will come with it. Of course, that’s not all. A few bonus samples will also be thrown in. The first one is fragrance so get ready to try on a new scent. As for October, the theme will be skincare. Don’t worry, the program is set to roll out to more cities by 2016.
In the mean time, the Sephora rewards program gives you access to free samples on your birthday and with points. My favorite Sephora product though, is the Sephora Collection palette that comes out just in time for Christmas. Since they come with eyeshadow, lip gloss, rouge and more in one convenient case, you know I’ll be looking to upgrade with that – at least until the subscription service rolls out in NJ.

Happy Friday, everyone! And don’t forget to return this weekend for some style/fashion tips.
